In this tiny 37 sq. m apartment for a university student, we took advantage of the linear shape of the space and of its corner windows to create a concept of continuity. A short wood panel runs alongside the walls right below the windows and organizes different programs. It starts as a bench, turns into a support for the TV and study desk, then into a bed and finally into a small sofa.

Dividing the wardrobe doors into two materials (wood and white paint) allowed the visual continuity of the panel, even after the interruption of the glass bathroom door, that provides natural light for the windowless room. A long single-track light with spots in the middle of the apartment reinforces the linearity of the space. The bed positioned in front of the corner windows and the light colour and material palette make the tiny space feel wider.

︎ The scope of my work in this project included developing the initial study layouts and renderings, executive drawings, detailing of the woodwork and management of the renovation.
